FAQ

Answers to the questions we get before every booking.

Why Video?

When someone watches a video of a property, their brain does something a photo can't trigger nearly as well: it starts imagining actually being there. Researchers call this “mental simulation,” and it's one of the strongest known predictors of whether someone commits to booking or buying. A 2017 study on video product presentations found that video makes it measurably easier for viewers to picture themselves in a space than static images do, and that ease of imagining was the single best predictor of purchase intent in the study. A photo asks the guest to imagine the space. Video does the imagining for them.

The numbers back this up directly. Listings with an immersive tour get 75% more saves and 65% more views than photo-only listings, and 79% of buyers say they want a virtual tour when house hunting, not just photos (Zillow Research). It's not that photos stopped working. It's that video has become the format people expect to see first, and judge everything else against.

This is the part with the most direct science behind it. There's a specific line of tourism-marketing research on something called “narrative transportation”, the feeling of being mentally pulled into a place, almost like you're already standing in it. Studies built specifically around travel and destination video show that this feeling of transportation directly increases visit and booking intent. And it's not just theory: listings with an immersive tour sell up to 31% faster and for 4 to 9% more, in a study covering over 143,000 property listings.

The opposite, actually. A video isn't competing with your photos. It's what earns them the attention in the first place. Listings with richer content consistently see more views and more saves, not less, meaning people stay engaged longer, not shorter. Think of the video as the front door: it's what gets someone to stop scrolling and lean in. Once they're leaned in, they explore everything else with far more attention than they would have given a static hero image.

Real, peer-reviewed research, not just industry blog stats. Video improves “imagery fluency,” how easily someone mentally simulates being in a space, which drives purchase intent. Dynamic imagery that invites a viewer to project themselves into a scene increases purchase intention more than static equivalents. And a cluster of tourism-specific studies on “narrative transportation” show destination video directly increases booking intent through immersion and escapism. On top of that: even professional photos alone have been shown to add over $2,500 a year in booking revenue for a short-term rental. Video builds on that same foundation, and adds a layer static images structurally can't reach.

AI Video vs. Film Crew

Cost is the honest answer. A local videographer typically charges €550 to 1900 for a single property (a walkthrough plus drone footage), and that's assuming they're already nearby. The moment a crew has to travel to reach a villa outside a city center, day rates and travel fees stack fast: flights, hotel nights, and equipment transport routinely double what the same shoot costs locally. And that's per property, per shoot. If you run two or three units, that's two or three separate bookings, not one flat number. Your cinematic video is one flat €179, whether it's your first property or your third, with no crew, no travel fee, and no per-property multiplier.

No, and that's the part people are usually most relieved about. A traditional shoot means a crew arrives in person, needs good weather and the right light (clear skies for drone footage, golden hour for exteriors), and often needs the property staged and guest-free during the session. In practice, that usually means giving up a rental day, often exactly the high-season days when the light is best and the property would otherwise be fully booked. Editing then adds more time on top before anything is usable. Your video is made from the hero photos already on your website. There's no shoot day. Nothing gets blocked, no rental nights are lost, no one is waiting on the weather. Your property keeps running exactly as normal while we work.
